Meet Dr. Godar
Hi, I’m Jennifer L. Godar, Psy.D., HSPP. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Premier Psychology of Indiana, where I focus exclusively on psychological and educational evaluations for children and adolescents ages 3–17.
I chose to dedicate my practice solely to assessment because I believe families deserve the time, care, and thoughtful attention that meaningful evaluation requires. When parents reach out, they are often feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply wanting to better understand their child. My goal is to provide clarity in a way that feels supportive and empowering.
I specialize in evaluating neurodevelopmental, emotional/behavioral, and learning differences, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PDA profiles, developmental delays, learning disorders, gifted and twice-exceptional learners, anxiety, and high-masking presentations.
Authorized to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology by the PSYPACT Commission
Approach
My approach is strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in current research. Each evaluation is carefully tailored to the individual child, integrating developmental history, standardized assessment, behavioral observation, and collaboration with families and schools. I remain involved from the initial consultation and individualized testing through feedback and next steps, ensuring continuity and clarity throughout.
I believe evaluation should do more than provide a diagnosis. It should help families feel informed and confident about how to support their child moving forward. I’m honored to be part of that process.
I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis (2010), where I specialized in working with children, adolescents, and families. Over the past 15+ years, I have practiced in community mental health, hospital systems, schools, and multidisciplinary settings. These diverse experiences inform my thoughtful, collaborative, and comprehensive approach to each evaluation — with curiosity, compassion, and careful clinical attention to the whole child.
