Comprehensive Psychological & Educational Evaluations

For Children and Adolescents (Ages 3–17)

I specialize exclusively in psychological and educational evaluations for children and adolescents. My work is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming philosophy, recognizing that every child’s brain works in its own distinct and meaningful way.

Each evaluation is intentionally individualized. Rather than relying on a standard set of measures, I design the assessment around your child’s unique history, strengths, developmental profile, and the specific questions your family hopes to answer. The process is collaborative and reflective, integrating parent perspective and, when appropriate, school input to ensure findings are both accurate and meaningful in everyday life.

I personally conduct every aspect of the evaluation — from testing and observation to interpretation and feedback — allowing for flexible pacing, nuanced clinical insight, and continuity throughout. The result is a comprehensive, carefully considered understanding of your child that honors both strengths and areas of need.

School Observation

Optional Add-On Service

In some cases, it can be helpful to see how a child navigates their natural classroom environment. A school observation offers the opportunity to understand how learning, attention, social interaction, and regulation unfold in real time within the context of the school day. This service is available as an add-on to a comprehensive evaluation when additional context would be meaningful. Observations are approached thoughtfully and collaboratively, with sensitivity to the classroom setting and partnership with school staff when appropriate.

Following the observation, I integrate insights into the broader evaluation and provide a summary of findings to help clarify how your child’s strengths and challenges present in the school environment. A school observation is not necessary for every evaluation, but when indicated, it can provide a valuable perspective that deepens understanding and supports more informed planning.

IQ (Cognitive) Testing

In addition to comprehensive evaluations, I offer standalone IQ testing for children and adolescents when a focused assessment of cognitive functioning is needed.

IQ testing may be appropriate for:

✓ Gifted program applications
✓ School placement decisions
✓ Private school admissions
✓ Baseline cognitive assessment
✓ Clarification of learning profile

Even when providing IQ-only testing, the process remains thoughtful and personalized. I personally administer and interpret all assessments and provide clear, thorough feedback to ensure families fully understand the results and their implications.

1

Intake Session

Our first meeting will be a 60-minute virtual session for parents only. This allows us to have an open conversation without your child being present. During this intake, I’ll learn more about your child, who they are as individuals, their strengths, and your current concerns. We’ll also discuss your goals for the evaluation.

The Testing Process

2

In-Person Testing

All testing sessions are in person and conducted by me. Parents are welcome to relax in the waiting area during appointments. To support comfort and optimal performance, testing is typically divided into two to three sessions, each lasting about 2 hours, with breaks as needed. This pacing helps reduce fatigue, maintain engagement, and allow flexibility based on your child’s needs. At the first appointment, I provide rating scales for parents and teachers to complete, offering additional perspectives that help inform the evaluation.

3

Feedback Session

We meet to review results together in a collaborative and supportive conversation. My goal is for you to leave with clarity, confidence, and a meaningful roadmap forward — whether that includes school planning, therapeutic support, enrichment, medication considerations, or simply a deeper understanding of your child.

4

Final Report

After the feedback session, findings are finalized into a detailed written report and uploaded to the Client Portal for your review within one week. The report provides clear explanations of results, diagnostic impressions when applicable, and a cohesive understanding of your child’s strengths and areas of need.
